Countdown Begins!

The countdown has begun and just a week away from “THE” day!

Most of us keeping our fingers crossed wishfully dreaming and hoping that we would be able to make it to COY 6 and to be part of this wonderful effort. (including me of course)

COY has been for us youth the place where we got our first introduction to the COP summits and the process of the UNFCCC. I remember last year being “fresh meat” (no offence to vegetarians) at COP 15 and standing in the middle of a hall staring at thin air in a dilemma on which way to head, or which sessions to attend!

I am sure most of us attending COP 16, if it is their first time to a COP would need guidance on the process and “ what to do, and how to that what” :P So if you are clueless like how I was last year ( well I sure most of you ain’t) and need more information, COY be the place for you! So time to sign up if you have not managed to do so!

But that will not be the only reason why COY be important for us youth!

As we all know COPs happen, but us youth, have a more powerful role to play in rallying together, building our power and our movement in order to come out with productive results. It is about capacity building, gaining knowledge and creating awareness. (Just to list a few among many in the list) So yes, join the group of youth that be leading the way, surely there is a leader in you, as we are all leaders in our own way, just need to let it out to the world, and share your ideas to see how brilliant they be, and what is more, how very change initiating and team building they could possibly turn out to be!

So how about we start filling this blog with all those bright ideas? Let’s tell our stories of past COYs, how they were, how they changed our life (I am sure they did), and make this the forum which makes everyone aware of what COY is, what one can expect from it, and how we go ahead in making it more productive and of course very much worthwhile J

Okay all COY people, fingers crossed and see you in Cancun on the 26th of November, till then bear with my internet presence! (Might be annoying at times, but mostly pleasant and agreeable I hope)
